Wildflower Paper Crafting Collection Card Projects
I normally don’t use a lot of pattern paper as I create my own backgrounds with stencils or stamps. So, using pattern paper is a challenge for me. Well, not with the Wildflower Paper Crafting Collection! I started off by arranging all the ephemera from both the packs on my desk and picking out a few that I wanted to start with. Then, I picked out pattern papers that I felt would work well with my selection. I also grabbed some Altenew gradient cardstock to complement the papers. Here’s the first card I made.
I started off with this mini-slimline card and used the huge whimsical floral vine for my card. Actually, I made my card 6″X3.25″ so that I could use the pattern paper to cover up my entire panel. I added little details like clear drop gems and jute twine to add interest. Here are the close up pictures.
For the second card, I used strips of pattern paper form the pack and a larger piece of the floral paper to be the main focal element. I ripped the edge of that paper to give it an organic look.
I added butterflies from the Altenew Watercolor Butterfly Stickers pack I had in my stash. Here’s a closer look at this card.
For my final project, I created a little cluster using ephemera, glue and some foam tape. Once again I used gradient cardstock for part of my panel and strips of pattern paper for rest of the panel.
I finished off with some sequins. These papers and ephemera coordinate so well and were a breeze to create with. Here are close-ups of my last card for today.
