Altenew Exotic Garden Collection – A closer look
Here is a closer look at all the goodies in today’s release. What will you be adding to your card today? Do let me know in the comments below.
Blooming Tulips Stamp and Die Set
You just can’t go wrong with this gorgeous tulip stamp. I love the elegant and wispy petals in this set.
For my card, I stamped the last 2 layers directly on the panel and layered fully stamped and die-cut tulips over them. I was going for a busy garden look. So, I added some stenciling using the Gris Stencil. I heat embossed over the fancy hello die cut and added it to complete the card. A sprinkling of green sequins was needed to add some oomph. Here are some close-up clicks so you can check out the details.
Simply Spring Stamp Set
The Simply Spring Stamp Set is a huge floral arrangement and I had a blast watercoloring it using Altenew Watercolor brush Markers.
As you can see here, I split up the colored image into two panels and made two cards. I actually heat-embossed the image as well as the sentiment here. Here’s a closer look at this card.
Enchanting Beauty Stamp Set
Up next is one of my favorites from this release! The gingko swag from the Enchanted beauty stamp set had my heart as soon as I saw it.
I created an ink blended background and heat embossed over it using sparkle white embossing powder. Then, I added a thin gold frame to make it extra special. Let’s take a closer look st this card now.
Tropical Jungle Stamp & Die Bundle
This is one of those releases where each stamp is special and it’s almost impossible to choose between them. Anyways, moving on to the next beauty…. the Tropical Jungle.
I stamped the larger stamp from this set to make the background, and colored the smaller stamped image with alcohol markers. The sentiments in this set are so bold and catch the eye beautifully. Here are few close up pictures.
Mega Succulent 3D Embossing Folder
Next, I played with the Mega Succulent 3D Embossing folder. This card was super simple and wasy to create, and works well for mass production.
I used the folder to emboss watercolor cardstock and ink blended over it with Distress Oxides. Then, I used a touch of copic marker to the tips of the petals to add color. I die cut the waterbrush hello die from Cosmic Berry cardstock for the sentiment. Check out the detail created by this folder.
Monstera Leaves 3D Embossing Folder
Moving on to the final card for today’s post featuring the Monstera Leaves 3D embossing folder. I went back to one of my favorite techniques using perfect pearls.
The shiny look is from the Perfect Bronze powder over embossing ink. I foind a piece of bronze/gold reflective cardstock in my stash and made the hello die cut for the sentiment. Check out the shimmery shine here!
